Team Qilak had to delivered a high fidelity interactive installation and animation for the Maritime Museum.

The project strengthened my ability to lead a team to stay on track and reach its goals with a positive attitude. The Masters in Digital Media program has challenged me in diverse areas of game design, film editing, storyboarding, 2D & 3D animation and hardware interoperability.
For me, interdisciplinary projects are particularly fascinating, they encourage groups to reach forward to find multiple potential solutions to big issues. I have developed my skills as a muralist because I believe that large scale visual arts can empower and awaken public concern for critical issues such as sustainability, peace and diversity.
Orion, that would teach children the use of astronomy in navigation.
More specifically, they were tasked with covering three main learning points:
Polaris (and its role as the North Star)
The Big Dipper (and its orientation pointing towards the North Star)
Orion (and its root in Inuit mythology as well as navigation uses)

For the drawing process we included hand-drawn sketches and used variety of drawing software including Adobe Photoshop, Corel painter, and Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. The animation of the still frames was imported into Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Unity. Various particle and light effects were implemented in Unity for the final project.
