The following mural was painted at Churchill High School in the central courtyard on a wall measuring 70' by 12'.
The video shows the initial transformations and the process form the blank wall to about mid progress.
Phi appears regularly in the realm of things that grow and unfold in steps just as the Nautilus shell grows larger on each spiral by phi.
The design for the mural was a further development of a painting project to discuss sustainalbity in a global and holistic sence.

Students were invited to be part of the team of artists and participants, bringing together different disciplines and understandings of sustainability. The topic depicted is the theme of the conference itself: Holistic Options for Planet Earth Sustainability (HOPES).

The purpose of the project is for the people attending the conference and students at U of O to see public art happening. It is also to attract more participation in the conference by bringing color and environmental perspectives to this very transited space.
